Important Thoughts For Your Child's Development

There are several things which a child has to learn when he or she is growing up.

Every day is a new learning experience.

Every day you will see your child grow and you will start enjoying those little experiences.

.

Parents are parents after all and after a while they will want everything from the child.
They want him to stand and sit on his own. If the child has accomplished that task then they will want him to learn to walk all by himself.

If that is accomplished then they will want him to start speaking.

This is nature and it is nothing wrong to be anxious about everything.

But in reality you are putting undue pressure on the child.

There will be an atmosphere of tension in the house as you are now trying to monitor and control each activity. Beware that this can be detrimental to the kids development.
You need to be aware that the person you are dealing with in this case is a little child and not a grown up person. The child does not know how to handle pressure. Allow him to be more mature to tell him a few things.

Till age 2 or 3 you should not be putting pressure on the kid.

In reality, the parents need to go slow and be very patient. The best way to understand how the kid's behavior will be is to read books on child development.

Those books will tell you what you need to do in a particular situation.

In case the kid is not responding then consult your pediatrician for help. Do not panic as each and every kid is different. It is this difference which also leads parents to think that their kid is not up to the mark.

As a parent you will keep hearing stories that someone else's kid has started walking at age one. A distant friend will tell you that his kid was talking before he was 15 months old.
Ignore all these stories and work assiduously with your kid to gauge his pace of learning. Never try to compare two kids and that will help.
You will be more relaxed and patient as that will result in an environment where he can develop all his faculties without the extra pressure.
The key to remember is that the child's mind is like a blank clean piece of slate and whatever you do will be etched on that. I am sure that you will not want bad things to be etched on that.

Be focused and you will see amazing results.
