Discover Secrets to Get Your Child to Take Their Medicine

It's a common problem, especially with small children, that they don't want to take their medicine.

You have three options - to force them, to hide it in something or to give up. Most parents would feel uncomfortable forcing, or allowing others to force anything on their child, even if it does seem to be the 'right' thing.
Hiding it is subterfuge - is that good role modeling? Giving up is often considered to be failure. None of these options are satisfactory.

Or are they? Look a little deeper and you may find the answer.

Small children are very much aware of what is good for them and what isn't.
Even babies know this.

Although this flies in the face of what you have been taught to believe, bear with me. Consider a baby, whose mother works. During the day, the baby may be fed formula milk.
When mum comes home, the baby has breast milk.
What happens when the baby is hungry some time before mum comes home? Typically, the bottle is refused, as babe knows there is something better just around the corner. This means that babies know more about what is good for them, than any learned person who spent much time 'perfecting' the formula milk.
Consider this - if your child is refusing, or creating a scene, at your proffered medicine, then chances are that they know is not going to do them any good. Now start offering them the appropriate homeopathic medicine and you'll see a complete change. Not only will they willing take the medicine, they will actively seek them out, asking you for them.
The answer lies in coming to terms with the fact that neither you or anyone else necessarily knows what is best for your child. Respect your child's wisdom.
Especially as far as their health is concerned.
Only they know how they feel, what they need and what it does for them.
